Nose:
A vibrant, nutty oak aroma. Initially slightly dry, it gradually opens to reveal grated apple, pear, and other white fruits, with a faint sweetness reminiscent of pancakes. A well-developed aromatic depth shaped by maturation.
Palate:
An oily, full-bodied mouthfeel leads into a rich spread of toasty yet sweet malt flavors. The finish is robust and persistent, driven by malty intensity, spicy accents, and a gently bitter, woody character.
A textbook example of Dailuaine. Powerful in line with its strength, offering depth and richness, with the brightness of the hogshead cask adding an elegant lift.
