The Archives 2008 Fettercairn 13 Year Old Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a vibrant Highland single malt distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022 by renowned independent bottler Archives. Matured for 13 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at natural cask strength, this limited release highlights the tropical and citrus-driven character that modern Fettercairn has become increasingly celebrated for among whisky enthusiasts and collectors. With only 238 bottles produced, this is a rare and highly collectible single cask expression.

This release forms part of the acclaimed “The Fishes of Samoa” series by Archives, a label collection known for combining striking aquatic-inspired artwork with carefully selected single cask whiskies from respected Scottish distilleries. Archives has developed a strong reputation within the whisky community for sourcing expressive, character-driven casks bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, allowing each whisky to present its natural personality.
On the nose, expect notes of tropical fruit, vanilla cream, honey and citrus zest layered with soft oak and delicate floral undertones. The palate delivers rich orchard fruits, caramel sweetness, toasted malt and hints of pineapple balanced by warming spice and bourbon cask influence. The finish is long, clean and elegant, carrying lingering vanilla, oak spice and bright fruit notes that showcase the fresh and energetic style of modern Highland whisky.
