Released in 2022, Batch 2 was created from a meticulous selection of antique 1990 and 1991 vintage casks, matured for three decades before being married together to create a whisky of remarkable depth, elegance and complexity. Founded in 1967 in Aberlour, Speyside, GlenAllachie remained relatively under the radar until its acquisition by Billy Walker and The GlenAllachie Distillers Company in 2017. Under Walker’s stewardship, the distillery has become highly regarded for its rich, cask-driven style and exceptional wood management, particularly in long-aged releases such as the 30 Year Old series. Batch 2 continues this philosophy through the marriage of carefully selected sherry casks and virgin oak barrels, delivering a bold yet refined profile.

Tasting Notes:
Rich aromas of heather honey, mocha, sultanas and dried fruits lead into layers of dark chocolate, figs, orange zest and warming spice. The palate is full-bodied and luxurious, revealing notes of treacle, raisins, cinnamon and roasted coffee balanced by elegant oak influence and subtle citrus brightness. The finish is exceptionally long, warming and richly sherried with lingering dark fruit, cocoa and soft spice.
