The most recent addition to RMW single cask range is a beautifully aged Speysider from Glenburgie Distillery. The spirit was distilled in 1995 and spent three full decades in an Oloroso Sherry hogshead before we bottled it with no added colour and non-chill filtered. It's a fantastic example of an older Glenburgie, featuring tropical fruits combined with elegant sherry cask notes like orange zest, toffee, and raisins.
1 of only 199 bottles, it is rare to see a 30-year-old, single cask, cask strength release from this lesser known, but excellent Speyside distillery. We have always loved Glenburgie for its juicy fruit notes, so we are proud to add this to our range.
Staff Tasting Notes
Nose – Orange zest, cracked toffee, lemon peel then old raisins and dusted chocolate truffles.
Palate – A chunky texture with black pepper before marmalade which gives way to ripe mango and banana drenched in golden syrup.
Finish – Pineapples scattered with nutmeg then dried ginger and dolly mixture sweets.
