The Kanpaikai & Shinanoya 1995 Glenburgie 30 Year Old Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a rare and beautifully matured Speyside whisky distilled in 1995 and aged for 30 years in a single hogshead cask before bottling in 2025. Selected jointly by renowned Japanese whisky retailer Shinanoya and independent bottling collaborator Kanpaikai, this limited release highlights the elegant tropical fruit character and refined complexity that mature Glenburgie has become celebrated for among whisky enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

This bottling forms part of the “Lucky Choice” series, a collaboration showcasing carefully selected single cask whiskies chosen by Shinanoya and Kanpaikai. Shinanoya has built a global reputation for exceptional cask selection and collectible Japanese-market bottlings, while Kanpaikai has emerged as a respected independent collaborator known for distinctive labels and highly sought-after releases. Together, the partnership focuses on rare casks with strong individuality, elegant presentation, and exceptional maturation quality.
Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Elegant and fruit-forward with layers of honey, vanilla cream, ripe mango, yellow peach and pineapple. Gentle floral tones mingle with citrus peel, oolong tea and soft oak, giving the whisky a bright yet mature character.
Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with a silky texture. Tropical fruits continue to unfold alongside caramel, barley syrup and melon sweetness. Notes of guava, grapefruit, vanilla ice cream and subtle tea tannins create remarkable balance. The cask influence remains refined, allowing the distillate’s vibrant fruitiness to shine through.
Finish:
Long, elegant and gently drying with lingering peach, mango pudding, citrus zest, oak spice and soft tea-like bitterness. Complex yet highly drinkable.
