Kilkerran 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced at the historic Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Originally founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, Glengyle ceased production in 1925 before being revived in 2004 under the ownership of Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd, led by Mr Hedley Wright Chairman of Springbank Distillery and a direct descendant of the original founder. Since reopening, the distillery has become one of Campbeltown’s most celebrated modern whisky producers, combining traditional production methods with the distinctive maritime character of the region.

Kilkerran has been produced at Glengyle since March 25th, 2004, initially gaining recognition through its acclaimed “Work In Progress” series. Like all releases from Springbank and Glengyle, the whisky is traditionally double distilled, lightly peated and bottled without chill filtration or added caramel colouring, preserving the whisky’s natural texture, flavour and authenticity.

Tasting Notes:
The nose opens with dominant oak notes alongside toasted marshmallows, dried fruit pudding, cherries, marzipan and a delicate hint of peat smoke. On the palate, vibrant citrus and orange peel develop into layers of vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuits, creating a rich yet balanced profile. The finish is velvet-smooth and lingering, carrying notes of lemon meringue, gentle oiliness and the subtle maritime saltiness that defines a classic Campbeltown dram.
