Carsebridge Distillery was established in Alloa in 1799 and evolved from malt whisky production into one of Scotland’s major grain distilleries during the 19th century. For generations, its spirit formed an important component of Scotch whisky blends before the distillery was permanently closed in 1983, with the site later demolished. Today, surviving Carsebridge stocks have become increasingly scarce, particularly casks distilled during the 1970s that have reached exceptional ages. This 1976 single cask, jointly bottled by Lucky Choice and Oxhead Whisky, represents an increasingly rare opportunity to explore the character of a lost Scottish distillery after 50 years of maturation.

Tasting Notes:
Rich layers of polished oak, vanilla, coconut and caramelised sugar open alongside aromas of tropical fruit, orange oils and aged furniture wood. The palate is remarkably concentrated, bringing together butterscotch, crème brûlée, ripe pineapple and candied citrus with warming spice, toasted nuts and deep oak complexity.
