Tasting Notes:

Nose: Beautifully expressive and immediately recognisable as Clynelish, opening with rich beeswax, creamy vanilla and ripe yellow fruits. Sweet banana, golden honey and delicate citrus gradually emerge alongside hints of condensed milk and freshly steamed sponge cake. With time in the glass, the whisky develops a wonderfully creamy, almost buttery aroma, complemented by subtle mineral notes and the characteristic waxy texture for which the distillery is celebrated.

Palate: Rich, oily and generously textured, with an unmistakable layer of melted beeswax coating the palate. Creamy banana milk, sweet honeydew melon and condensed milk introduce a deliciously indulgent sweetness, while citrus confectionery provides a vibrant contrast. Notes of vanilla cream, golden honey and gentle oak gradually develop, supported by the intensity of its natural cask strength. The balance between tropical fruit, waxy malt and creamy sweetness creates an engaging and beautifully expressive Highland single malt.

Finish: Warming and satisfyingly persistent, with lingering caramel, sweet cream and gentle toasted oak. A delicate peppery spice emerges alongside subtle minty herbs, providing freshness and contrast to the whisky's rich, waxy character. The finish gradually becomes drier, leaving behind soft vanilla, seasoned wood and a pleasantly creamy aftertaste.
