Michiel Wigman is a respected Dutch independent bottler known for selecting single cask whiskies inspired by the classic flavour profiles of the 1950s–1970s whisky era. His “Gems of Scotland” series focuses on distinctive, character-driven casks from celebrated Scottish distilleries, presented with minimalist and collectible label designs that emphasise authenticity and rarity.
Tasting Notes:
Elegant and richly textured, with layers of dried fruits, honeyed malt and soft oak spice. Notes of citrus peel, dark chocolate and baked pastries develop alongside subtle sherry influence and warming spice. The palate is full-bodied yet refined, carrying hints of vanilla cream, stewed orchard fruits and roasted nuts before a long, balanced finish with lingering sweetness, oak and gentle spice complexity.
