Ben Nevis is especially prized by independent bottlers for its unmistakably robust spirit, often displaying an oily texture, rich maltiness, orchard fruits and an appealingly old-fashioned character. Here, maturation in a 2nd Fill Port Pipe introduces a vibrant layer of red and dark fruits without completely masking the muscular Highland spirit underneath.

Tasting Notes:
A rich and expressive nose opens with orange, ripe red plums and raisins layered over sweet malt and subtle earthy undertones. The palate is thick and powerful, bringing bitter orange, juicy plums and dark chocolate alongside robust malt, seasoned oak and warming spice. The Port influence contributes plenty of fruit without becoming overly sweet, while the high strength amplifies the whisky’s oily texture and intensity. The finish is long and increasingly dry, with orange peel and cocoa gradually developing into mature oak, pepper and warming woody spice.
