Saburomaru IV “The Emperor” Single Malt Japanese Whisky is the fourth release in the acclaimed Saburomaru “The Tarot” series, produced by the historic Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Renowned for its heavily peated house style and innovative production methods, Saburomaru has become one of the most exciting names in modern Japanese whisky. “The Emperor” continues the distillery’s bold and smoky character while showcasing remarkable balance, complexity and depth.

The Tarot Series is inspired by the symbolism of traditional tarot cards, with each release representing a different card and personality. “The Emperor” symbolises authority, structure and strength, themes reflected in the whisky’s bold peated profile and commanding character. The series has gained a strong international following among collectors due to its distinctive artwork, limited releases and unique interpretation of Japanese peated whisky.
Tasting Notes:
Rich peat smoke and charred oak lead on the nose, followed by layers of smoked herbs, dark honey and subtle maritime salinity. The palate is oily and full-bodied, delivering notes of roasted malt, black pepper, toasted nuts and gentle citrus balanced against earthy smoke and sweet spice. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with lingering campfire embers, soft vanilla and delicate herbal complexity creating a refined yet powerful Japanese whisky experience.

We offer free returns within 30 days. All you have to do is fill out the return slip that you received in your package and stick the prepaid label on the package.Please note that it can take 2 weeks for us to process your return. We will do our best to complete this process as soon as possible.
