Tasting Notes:
The nose opens with slightly dirty peat smoke layered alongside smoked bacon and oily smoked mackerel, immediately delivering a deeply maritime and savoury profile. Waves of salted caramel, burnt fruit cake and seaweed emerge with hints of grilled vegetables, earthy mushrooms and subtle sour, sweaty undertones adding further complexity and intensity.

On the palate, deep smoke dominates once again with notes of soot, old leather and powerful briny salinity. Salted liquorice intertwines with rich salted caramel while cracked black peppercorns and moist oak develop through the mid-palate. The sherry influence introduces a slightly winey edge that enhances the whisky’s bold and unconventional personality.

The finish is long, smoky and coastal, carrying lingering brine, salted caramel, caramelised nuts and earthy peat smoke with exceptional depth and persistence.
