The aroma is wonderfully mature and expressive, opening with ripe apples and juicy pears alongside dark raisins and delicate vanilla. Layers of ripe stone fruits, orange peel and creamy vanilla custard gradually emerge, accompanied by subtle coconut biscuits and a gentle malty richness. The palate is beautifully full-bodied and oily, revealing generous caramel and ripe orchard fruits alongside soft vanilla and the distinctive warmth of seasoned oak. Gentle spice introduces additional depth, while touches of dark dried fruit and a subtle sherry-like richness complement the whisky’s naturally sweet and fruity character. The finish is exceptionally long and elegant, with lingering caramel, ripe fruit and delicate malt gradually giving way to dry oak, gentle warming spice and refined dried-fruit notes, leaving a beautifully balanced impression of mature Speyside whisky.
