This extraordinary 1992 release commemorates the 50th anniversary of German whisky importer Kirsch Import, offering a rare opportunity to experience Glenlossie after more than three decades of hogshead maturation. The extended ageing has developed considerable depth while preserving the distillery’s distinctive orchard-fruit character, honeyed sweetness and elegant malty foundation.

Tasting Notes:

The aroma is beautifully mature and expressive, opening with ripe golden apples and juicy pears alongside delicate floral honey and creamy vanilla. Subtle notes of dried hay and white pepper gradually emerge, accompanied by soft oak and a gentle herbal freshness. The palate is wonderfully balanced and richly textured, revealing sweet orchard fruits and honeyed malt alongside creamy vanilla and the natural sweetness of malted barley. Gentle white pepper introduces warmth, while seasoned oak provides structure and a refined dryness without overwhelming the whisky’s elegant fruit character. The finish is exceptionally long and sophisticated, with lingering honey, ripe pears and delicate malt gradually giving way to dry oak, gentle spice and a subtle, pleasantly bittersweet conclusion.
