Tasting Notes:

The aroma is wonderfully rich and mature, opening with ripe sultanas, dark cherries and figs alongside candied orange peel and bittersweet chocolate. Layers of roasted walnuts, polished oak and warming cinnamon gradually emerge, accompanied by subtle notes of dried apricot and rich fruitcake. The palate is full-bodied and beautifully textured, revealing concentrated dried fruits, dark chocolate and treacle alongside roasted nuts and rich Oloroso sherry sweetness. Gentle baking spices, espresso and seasoned oak introduce additional depth, while the distillery’s naturally fruity character provides balance beneath the generous sherry influence. The finish is exceptionally long and sophisticated, with lingering raisins, figs and dark cherries gradually giving way to bittersweet cocoa, roasted walnuts, mature oak and a refined, increasingly dry conclusion.
