Founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, Signatory Vintage has established itself as one of Scotland's most respected independent bottlers, celebrated for its exceptional cask selection and commitment to presenting whisky with character and individuality. In 2002, Signatory Vintage acquired Edradour Distillery, establishing a particularly close connection between the independent bottler and one of Scotland's most distinctive Highland distilleries. Located near Pitlochry, Edradour is renowned for its traditional production methods and richly textured spirit, which responds exceptionally well to sherry-cask maturation. This anniversary release highlights that relationship, using First Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogsheads to develop an intensely expressive whisky. Pedro Ximénez sherry is celebrated for its concentrated sweetness and dark-fruit character, often contributing notes of raisins, dates, treacle and chocolate to maturing whisky. Combined with Edradour's naturally substantial malt character, the result is a richly layered expression that demonstrates how thoughtful cask selection can produce remarkable complexity even at a relatively young age.

Tasting Notes:

The aroma is wonderfully rich and indulgent, opening with dark raisins, sticky dates and chocolate-covered figs alongside molasses and sweet caramel.
