Tasting Notes:

Nose: Wonderfully rich and complex, opening with an intriguing combination of fresh orchard fruits, delicate eucalyptus leaves and beautifully seasoned French oak. A subtle fruity acidity introduces freshness, while notes of extra virgin olive oil and freshly cracked nuts provide a distinctive savoury dimension. Gentle woody spices gradually emerge alongside hints of salted cream, creating an inviting interplay between fresh fruit, aromatic herbs and rich, oily complexity. With time in the glass, the whisky develops a wonderfully layered bouquet, revealing delicate nutty undertones and an elegant balance of freshness and mature oak.

Palate: Exceptionally rich, full-bodied and luxuriously oily, with a remarkable texture that immediately distinguishes this expression. The mouthfeel is almost reminiscent of chewing fresh nuts, delivering a concentrated combination of nut oils, creamy richness and subtle savoury sweetness. Notes of extra virgin olive oil develop alongside toasted nuts, delicate salted cream and vibrant fresh-fruit acidity. Eucalyptus and gentle woody spices introduce additional complexity, while the French oak provides structure without overwhelming the whisky's natural character. Despite its considerable strength of approximately 66.7% ABV, the alcohol is extraordinarily well integrated, displaying none of the sharpness that might be expected from such a powerful single malt. Instead, the palate remains beautifully rounded, substantial and remarkably balanced.

Finish: Long, warming and wonderfully textured, with lingering nut oils, delicate woody spice and subtle eucalyptus freshness. A distinctive green tea-like dryness develops towards the back of the throat, introducing an elegant tannic character that beautifully contrasts with the whisky's rich, oily mouthfeel. Gentle notes of salted cream, toasted nuts and fresh fruit gradually fade, leaving a refined and satisfyingly persistent conclusion.
