Tasting Notes:
A wonderfully mature and deeply layered profile opens with dried figs, raisins, ripe cherries and dark berry preserves alongside polished antique oak, old leather and delicate tobacco. Richer notes of dark chocolate, orange peel and roasted nuts emerge with time, complemented by honey, fruit cake and subtle earthy spice. The palate develops beautifully with concentrated dark fruits, stewed plum, blackcurrant and citrus oils layered over cocoa, liquorice and gently drying oak. The finish is exceptionally long and contemplative, leaving lingering impressions of black tea, dried orange, dark chocolate, tobacco and beautifully integrated old wood.
