It is surprisingly complex and mature for its age, featuring stewed fruits, vanilla, and a signature waxy texture that makes it both refined and deeply layered. Additionally, this is The Whisky Jury’s very first Dailuaine bottling, making it an extra special release.
Tasting Notes
Nose Rich aromas of stewed apples, apricots, and honey, combined with vanilla custard and a subtle hint of beeswax. Delicate notes of white pepper and toasted almonds add further depth.
Taste Full-bodied and creamy with a silky waxy texture. Flavors of ripe peach, baked banana, and vanilla fudge are beautifully balanced by hints of oak, citrus, and spicy ginger. The high ABV provides an enjoyable intensity without being overpowering.
Finish Long and warming, with lingering notes of honey, buttery biscuits, and a gentle spiciness. The waxy texture remains subtly present, leaving a velvety, elegant finish.
