Situated in the heart of Speyside, Tamnavulin Distillery was established in 1966 and has traditionally produced a light, approachable and fruit-forward style of single malt. Long-aged independent bottlings from the distillery remain considerably less common than its official releases, making expressions of this age particularly interesting for enthusiasts seeking a different perspective on Tamnavulin’s spirit. After 30 years in a refill butt, this single cask demonstrates a significantly richer side of the distillery, bringing together concentrated dried fruits, mature oak and deep sherry character while maintaining the underlying elegance of the spirit.

Tasting Notes:
Rich sherry sweetness opens with raisins, orange marmalade and dark dried fruits layered with brown sugar, chocolate and warming cinnamon. The palate develops considerable depth, bringing together juicy plum, apricot and orange with concentrated raisins, dark caramel and clove spice. Extended maturation introduces polished oak, subtle leather and gentle nuttiness, balancing the sweeter fruit character with a mature, structured complexity. The finish is long, warming and deeply satisfying, leaving lingering dried fruit, dark chocolate, baking spices and refined old oak.
