Selected by Taiwanese independent bottler Aqua Vitae Whisky Selection, this remarkable single cask forms part of the Book of All Things series and is represented by The Book of the Red Fox. Matured in a single hogshead and bottled at 48.8%, only 120 bottles were produced, making this an exceptionally limited expression of mature Springbank. The whisky combines vibrant fruit, rich sweetness and distinctive industrial character, showcasing the complexity and unmistakable personality for which long-aged Springbank has become so highly sought after.

Founded in Taiwan in 2016, Aqua Vitae Whisky Selection is an independent bottler established by whisky collector Allen Chen. The bottler has developed a reputation for carefully selected single casks alongside elaborate, highly collectible presentation and artwork. The Book of All Things collection draws inspiration from the historic Book of Kells, with six releases represented by different animals symbolising stages of human awakening. For this Springbank bottling, the Red Fox represents desire and rebirth, with its intricately illustrated label complementing one of the collection's most prestigious cask selections.

Tasting Notes:
Vibrant citrus and ripe berry fruits open the nose, developing into deeper notes of sweet tobacco, raisins and rich syrup, with subtle dried fruit and gentle smoke adding further complexity. The palate is rounded and wonderfully textured, with refreshing citrus and berries giving way to tobacco leaf, cracked pepper and worn leather, wrapped in a dense, syrup-like sweetness. Classic Springbank character becomes increasingly apparent towards the finish, where tobacco and distinctive engine-oil notes mingle with dark chocolate and lingering syrupy sweetness. The finish is composed, complex and exceptionally long, leaving behind mature fruit, subtle smoke and oily Campbeltown character.
