Aqua Vitae is a Taiwanese independent bottler recognised for combining carefully selected single cask whiskies with highly distinctive, collectible label designs. This bottling forms part of the Godzilla Series, for which Aqua Vitae obtained licensing to feature different generations of the iconic Japanese monster. This particular Glenrothes carries the original 1954 Godzilla, pairing a highly recognisable piece of Japanese pop culture with a limited single cask Speyside whisky. The combination of an individually selected sherry cask, small 228-bottle outturn and licensed Godzilla artwork gives the release particular appeal to both whisky enthusiasts and collectors.

Tasting Notes:
Rich vanilla cream and ripe orchard fruits open alongside apricot preserve, orange peel and sweet banana, developing into layers of milk chocolate, black tea and dark sherry sweetness. The palate brings vibrant citrus to the foreground, with orange and lemon balanced by grape preserve, chocolate, delicate florals and subtle tea-like tannins. Gentle smoky and ashy nuances emerge beneath the fruit, leading into a lingering finish of apple skin, toasted spice, incense and softly drying sherry oak.
