Tasting Notes:

The nose opens with a distinctly industrial character — smoky mineral tones, struck matches and rubbery notes reminiscent of workshop oils and old machinery. Beneath this lies a layer of dried herbs, dark preserved cherries and lightly charred straw, complemented by subtle peat smoke and cooling mint freshness. With time in the glass, softer tropical elements begin to emerge, revealing hints of coconut cream, ripe mango and delicate floral nuances.

On the palate, the whisky carries a medium-bodied texture with an initially mellow arrival before evolving into a more pepper-driven and maritime style. Saline notes intertwine with touches of dried fruit, toasted oak and earthy smoke, while restrained sweetness balances the whisky’s rugged edge. Additional sips reveal greater depth, introducing gentle tropical fruit and refined wood influence.

The finish is long, dry and coastal in character, leaving lingering medicinal notes, sea salt, iodine and soft smoky bitterness. Hints of smoked dairy, savoury bean richness and cooling menthol persist alongside an oily texture, delivering a complex and deeply memorable mature Port Charlotte experience.
